Ji'an Daoqing, also known as "Ji'an Yugu Daoqing". It is commonly known as "Dabangbang" in the countryside. It was formed in the Yangjiyuan (Sheng'en Hall) of Luling County (Ji'an County) 47 years before the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty, and spread to Jishui, Yongfeng, Xiajiang and other places. It is an ancient song that originated in Ji'an and is still sung today. It has the longest history, the most distinctive local characteristics, the highest degree of popularity, and the closest relationship with the production and life of the people. For a long time, Ji'an Yugu Daoqing has been performed by blind artists. The singing form is roughly divided into two types: Yugu music and Huqin music. It is passed down by oral transmission from master to apprentice. The repertoire covers a wide range of themes and the length of the pieces varies. The long traditional repertoire can be called a masterpiece. The longest "Tianbaotu" and so on, need to be sung for 15 days. Short repertoires are generally a few minutes to dozens of minutes. The lyrics are mainly seven-word sentences, with long and short sentences in between. The main works handed down include more than 90 long, medium and short traditional pieces such as "Liang Chenghui Fights a Case", "Records of Reclamation", "Meng Jiangnu", and "Admonitions to the World". There are nearly 100 modern pieces such as "Records of Liberation", "Jiao Yulu", "Wang Jie Visits Home", and "Jiang Jie Goes into the Mountains". Modern pieces include "Sending My Husband to Join the Red Army" and "Sceneries of the Soviet Area", which were widely sung in the Soviet area during the Second Civil Revolutionary War. Many artists are often good at improvisation, composing lyrics and composing music to sing some humorous, short and concise pieces with inspirational and persuasive meanings. The repertoire of Ji'an Daoqing is easy to understand, and its local musical characteristics are very distinct, with high value in literature, music and folklore research. At present, there are only a small number of blind artists of Ji'an Daoqing in Ji'an County, and the government is in urgent need of measures to protect them.
