Daoqing is a form of folk art popular in Zitong, which is mainly based on rap. It is called "Yugu" in some places, "Zhuqin" in Sichuan, and "Daotong" in Zitong. The content includes Taoist gods, exhortations, and realistic themes, and is mainly for education. Daoqing originated from Taoist songs such as "Jiuzhen" and "Chengtian" in the Tang Dynasty, which are based on Taoist stories. Daoqing may be related to Han Xiangzi, one of the Eight Immortals. The magic weapon in Han Xiangzi's hand is the accompaniment instrument of Daoqing, which was used as Yugu and Jianban in the Southern Song Dynasty until now. Daoqing is mostly single-mouth rap, and has been widely circulated throughout the country since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There are no less than dozens of Daoqing in various places, most of which are named after the popular regions, such as Wenzhou Daoqing, Yiwu Daoqing, Dongyang Daoqing in Zhejiang, Hongzhao Daoqing, Shenchi Daoqing, Linxian Daoqing in Jiangxi, etc. There are also some called Yugu, such as Yugu in Hubei and Hunan. It is called "Zhuqin" in Sichuan, and "Daotong" in Zitong. Daoqing is usually composed of seven words, but there are also five, ten words and long and short sentences. It is catchy and has harmonious rhymes when sung. Daoqing is sung with accompaniment, using fishing drums and bamboo boards as accompaniment instruments, forming a rhythmic, melodious voice, rhythm, peaceful voice, slow rhythm, and the wonderful rap skills of the rapper, which is very attractive. At the same time, Daoqing lyrics are also a rhyme style of five, seven, and ten words, most of which are seven words. It is catchy and has harmonious rhymes when sung.
