Yifan Festival
Yifan Festival Time: Generally held on an auspicious day after the "Beginning of Winter" or on the Beginning of Winter Location: Tantoutun, Guzhai Township, Liucheng County Guzhai Mulao Township is currently the only ethnic minority township in my country, with a long history of strong and simple ethnic customs. Among the many festivals in Guzhai, the Yifan Festival in memory of the White Horse Girl is particularly grand. The Yifan Festival of the Mulao people began in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and has a history of three to four hundred years. The main activities of the festival are to hold the "Yifan Daochang", and generally three to five Taoist priests are invited. The Taoist priests sing a rich and colorful song. Accompanied by the beautiful and pleasant Sheng music and the rhythmic drums and gongs, it is very lively. Sometimes, the Taoist priests in gorgeous Taoist costumes perform a graceful dance that is both hard and soft, which is even more fascinating. On this day, the Daochang is held, and 6636 gods are invited to come down to earth to bless the Mulao people to be prosperous and safe, and the livestock and population are prosperous. The festival has a rich variety of food. Every family makes rice dumplings, steams glutinous rice, and kills chickens and ducks. People make cattle and buffaloes out of sweet potatoes and taro, and bring a bunch of grain ears and offerings to participate in the Yifan Festival. Each household sets up an altar at its door, and the house is crowded with guests, making it very lively. When you travel to Liucheng, you may wish to participate in a unique festival activity, which will definitely leave you with an unforgettable experience. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
