Huangtian is the nearest town to Hezhou City. Its temple culture can be traced back to the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty. Most of the temples are located in villages, and the villagers have close contact with the temple culture. The Wenwu Temple and Hunan Guild Hall, located in the center of Huangtian Town, are the themes of the second day of the second lunar month for Huangtian people every year. According to Chinese folklore, the second day of the second lunar month is the day when the Dragon King, who is in charge of clouds and rain in the sky, raises his head; after the second day of the second lunar month, the rain will gradually increase. The folk proverb "On the second day of the second lunar month, the dragon raises his head; the big warehouse is full, and the small warehouse flows." is widely circulated in northern my country. The people of Huangtian have given new connotations to the traditional Chinese festival of the dragon raising its head. The second day of the second lunar month in Huangtian is called "Guan Festival" in folk terms, also known as the Food Festival, which lasts three days before and after. From the first day of the lunar calendar, people in Huangtian Street began to clean up, offer sacrifices, kill chickens and ducks, prepare sumptuous dishes, and make all preparations to welcome the arrival of relatives and friends. On the day of the official temple fair on the second day of the second lunar month, the streets are crowded with people and carriages. There are signs saying "Happy Second Day of the Second Month" and a long arched rainbow with yellow dragons climbing on both sides stretches across the entrance of Huangtian. Colorful flags are fluttering in the sky above the street leading to the Wenwu Temple. A wide variety of small commodities are gathered at various street intersections in Huangtian. Villagers and tourists who burn incense at the Hunan Guild Hall and the Wenwu Temple come and go in an endless stream. The streets of Huangtian were crowded with people, some selling goods at stalls, and some visiting temple fairs. The villages near Huangtian Town, with each natural village as a unit, formed a sacrificial team of men, women, old and young, holding signs with the village name, carrying colorful flags, carrying the shrine, firecrackers, whole pigs and sheep, and performing dragon and lion dances. They read sacrificial texts in front of the statues of Guan Yu and Yue Fei in the Wenwu Temple, burned incense and kowtowed, praying for good weather and a good harvest. Every household in Huangtian Street slaughtered chickens and ducks and held a big banquet. The Huangtian stage was decorated with lights and colors, and invited opera troupes to perform operas with gongs and drums. The open space between the Wenwu Temple and the stage was crowded with people. At a glance, the crowds seemed like huge waves, constantly hitting the ancient temple and stage. The sound of firecrackers, gongs and drums, shouts, and laughter filled the air. With the arrival of sacrificial teams, the grand offerings stimulated the tourists' brain nerves, and the wonderful performances of the lion and dragon dance teams made the tourists' interest unprecedentedly high. Word spread from one to ten, from ten to a hundred, and from a hundred to a thousand. With the transmission of modern communication equipment, more and more tourists flocked to Huangtian from all directions. Huangtian Eryueer, a rural folk festival with Hezhou local characteristics that integrates religious beliefs, sacrificial activities, literary and artistic entertainment, economic trade, and traditional food festivals, has attracted many tourists to visit Huangtian.
