Each production must have two days of sunny weather, so the long noodle workshop only makes it once every three days on average, and the output is limited. In a year with normal climate, the total output of the five long noodle workshops in Zhuangshi is only about 54,000 kilograms. Due to its complex production process, it takes at least a few years to learn, the labor intensity is high, and the income is low. Young people are generally unwilling to learn. As a result, there are only more than ten masters who can make long noodles in Zhuangshi Street, and they are all around 60 years old. The production skills are no longer available.
