During the "Cultural Revolution", due to the destruction of the "Four Olds" and then the collapse of the coal mine, the original old temple did not survive, and the temple fair was interrupted since then. In 1993, Liu Ruiyin, deputy mayor of Xuzhou Municipal Government, personally took charge and spent money to move the old temple site to 500 meters south to rebuild Pengzu Temple. The March 3rd Pengzu Temple Fair was resumed that year and has continued to this day. Various folk snacks, especially Pengzu snacks, and stalls are lined up side by side, with everything you need and in an orderly manner. At the same time, it also attracts many Chinese and foreign tourists and descendants of Pengzu to burn incense and worship Pengzu and trace their roots. Some relatives, friends, and cultural figures also gather here to watch dramas, take photos, taste snacks, etc. People who come to the fair spread to the bordering areas of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui. During the temple fair, small commodities are very abundant, and there are all kinds of folk goods, daily necessities, and children's toys. The scene is grand and crowded. There is an endless stream of people burning incense and worshiping their ancestors in the Pengzu Temple.
