Lu Zu Mountain Temple Fair Lu Zu Mountain Chunyang Temple is commonly known as "Lu Zu Temple", "Yunguang Cave" and "Lao Miaogou". It is named after the Quanzhen ancestor Chunyang Zhenren Lu Dongbin who practiced here. Lu Zu Mountain Temple Fair was formed on the basis of this folk legend. It is based on Lu Zu Temple, with religious activities as the initial driving force, market activities as the form of expression, integrating religion, trade and recreational activities. March 11 and September 9 every year are the time for the ancient temple fair, which lasts for three days. At that time, there will be drama troupes to perform to add to the fun. People from Xin'an, Luoyang, Yanshi, Yiyang and other places come to the fair. In addition to traditional sacrificial activities, you can also taste Lu Zu Mountain Spring and visit Lu Zu Mountain Scenic Area. Taoist culture has enabled the Lu Zu Mountain Temple Fair to be inherited and developed, and tourism culture has injected new vitality into the development of the ancient temple fair. Lu Zu Mountain Scenic Area was designated as a "Henan Provincial Tourist Scenic Area" by the Provincial Tourism Bureau in early 2002.
