Lizhou kiwifruit is a special fruit of Guangyuan City. In the early 1980s, in order to turn resource advantages into economic advantages, the Lizhou District Agricultural Bureau invited experts from the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences to use wild kiwifruit in Lizhou District as rootstocks, collect scions from the healthy fruit-bearing mother branches of pure and quarantine-free kiwifruit, and successfully cultivate the Lizhou kiwifruit with rich nutrition, refreshing taste and unique quality. Guangyuan City is the earliest region in China to carry out artificial cultivation of kiwifruit, and Lizhou has a history of more than 40 years of artificial cultivation. Lizhou District has more than 200,000 mu of wild kiwifruit resources, with a relatively concentrated distribution area of 130,000 mu, and an annual usable output of 3 million kilograms. At present, there are more than 80,000 people directly involved in the development and construction of the kiwifruit industry in the district. The district has built a kiwifruit artificial base cultivation demonstration base of 100,000 mu, and more than half of the kiwifruit bases have entered the fruit-bearing period, with an average benefit of about 5,000 yuan per mu, and a maximum of more than 10,000 yuan, with significant economic benefits.
