Changshi Town is the seat of the old district. The people of the old district have passed down the tradition of "dragon lantern playing". Every Spring Festival or important festival, they will carry out dragon lantern playing and other activities. The Changshi Town Dragon Lantern Association has been established. There are two types of "dragon lantern playing" performances: "single dragon playing with pearl" and "double dragon playing with pearl". The dragon body is composed of many sections, and the distance between each section is about five feet. The first section is called the first stage. The "sections" that make up the dragon body are generally odd (such as nine sections, eleven sections and thirteen sections). The dragon head part is also divided into different weights, generally weighing about thirty pounds. The dragon ball with candles is called a "dragon lantern", and the one without candles is called a "cloth dragon".
