The Torch Festival is an annual event held by the Yi people, and people actively participate in the preparations for the Torch Festival. Starting from a month before the Torch Festival, people look forward to the annual Yi Torch Festival and begin to prepare for the Torch Festival, cutting dry bamboo or cutting dry grass from the mountains, tying them into torches, and preparing firewood for the fire.
