(De'ang folk story) Narrated by Qi Huabin and Wang Dongying, collected and sorted by Li Wenquan. Next to the natural village of Xiaochanggou in Nanshan Town, Zhenkang County stands a steep and tall Yannong Mountain. "Yannong" is the De'ang language, which means "immortal mountain". There is also such a story about the origin of the Immortal Mountain. According to legend, a long time ago, a branch tribe of the De'ang people lived at the foot of the majestic Yannong Mountain. The leader of the tribe, Liu Anongxiao, had a daughter, Yiliu, who looked as beautiful as the moon in the sky. Yiliu was lively and kind-hearted. The villagers liked her very much, and the leader regarded her as the apple of his eye. One day, the young and beautiful Yi Liu was idle, so she went to the wild with her personal maid Yi Hua to pick wild vegetables. When they passed the rocky mountain near the village, they suddenly saw a sturdy, handsome and elegant Deang young man carrying a big wild boar down the mountain. Yi Liu and Yi Hua were shocked. They had heard that there were giant pythons in the mountain, and in the past few years, many people went up the mountain to hunt and were bitten to death or disabled by the giant pythons. After that, no one dared to go up the mountain to hunt. Seeing their surprised and puzzled looks, the young man smiled and said to them: "You two must be surprised that I can go down the mountain safely? Let me tell you, I defeated the giant python, and now it and I are still good friends!" Yi Liu and Yi Hua still didn't believe it, thinking that what he said was too bizarre. The young man was anxious, and suddenly put two fingers in his mouth and whistled very loudly. After a while, he heard the sound of "huff", "huff" from the mountain. Then he saw a giant python as thick as a bucket and about 20 meters long swimming slowly from the mountain. Yi Liu and Yi Hua were so scared that they turned pale and quickly closed their eyes, thinking: "This time it's over!" Seeing their lost souls, the young man laughed again and said: "Is it credible this time?" Then he said to the giant python: "You can't hurt them in the future!" The giant python nodded to show his agreement. The young man patted the snake's head, and the giant python swam back to Yanshan. The young man's name is Yan Nong. He has no father or mother at home and lives alone. He likes to practice martial arts since he was a child, so his body is thick and strong. Yan Nong invited Yi Liu and Yi Hua to his house to eat wild boar meat, and Yan Nong and Yi Liu met in this way. After that, they often came to visit each other. As time went by, the two young people fell in love. Yiliu's father didn't like her to make friends with poor people. One day, someone told Yiliu's father about their relationship. He was furious and immediately ordered someone to kill Yannong. When Yiliu learned that her father wanted to kill her lover, it was like a bolt from the blue. She sent Yihua to inform Yannong to flee to other places overnight, and begged her father to let Yannong go. Yannong was reluctant to leave his lover like this. He quickly took his waist knife and bow and arrow and said to Yihua: "Please tell Yiliu to find me at the foot of Yanshan in three days." Three days later, Yiliu really found Yannong at the foot of Yanshan. In the days that followed, Yiliu used bamboo tubes to deliver water and food to Yanshan every three days. After three years, the bamboo tubes thrown on the ground were moved by their true feelings and grew upside down (this is the inverted bamboo growing on Yannong Mountain now). Soon, the fact that Yi Liu sent food to Yan Nong was known to others, and was told to Yi Liu's father. However, because of the fear of the python, no one dared to kill Yan Nong. In order to completely make his daughter give up on Yan Nong, Liu Axiao decided to marry his daughter to the Gengma Tusi. On the day of her wedding, Yi Liu cried all the way. When she finally arrived at Gengma Jianshan, she crashed into the Jianshan and died. After her death, she turned into a seven-color ball and flew towards Yanshan. When the news of her daughter's death reached the village, the village chief was heartbroken and regretted that he had killed his daughter because of his greed and stubbornness. The villagers played funeral music for Yi Liu, and the music reached Yanshan. When Yannong heard the music, he immediately felt that something had happened to his sweetheart, and he burst into tears. He cried so hard that his eyes went blind. He ran down the mountain regardless of everything, but he missed a step and fell off the cliff. At this moment, a seven-colored ball flew over and lifted Yannong up, and they flew to Yuzhu Rock together. The stone door of Yuzhu Rock opened miraculously, and the seven-colored ball carried Yannong in. Then, the stone door closed with a "boom". This is the love story of Yannong Mountain. People renamed Yanshan Mountain Yannong Mountain to commemorate and spread the love story of Yannong and Yi Liu forever. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
