The legend of Yanjia Bridge is a folk literature project in the third batch of representative projects of Xuzhou's municipal intangible cultural heritage. Yanjia Bridge was built in the 18th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, and then this legend came into being. In the 10th year of Daoguang, the county magistrate Cui Zhiyuan donated money for repair. It was destroyed by war in 1947 and was destroyed again during the Cultural Revolution. After liberation, it was repaired a little and is now a production and sightseeing bridge. Its legend has been passed down to this day. At present, this legend is spread in Sibao Village, Sanbao Village and nearby villages in Sanbao Town, Tongshan District. The legend of Yanjia Bridge has certain mass characteristics. The story is widely circulated in Sanbao and Sibao areas and is talked about by the masses; it has a certain folk inheritance. The legend of Yanjia Bridge has been passed down for hundreds of years and has been passed down from generation to generation in relevant places; it has a certain literary interest: the legend of Yanjia Bridge is real and moving, rich in content, and strong in storytelling; it has a unique regionality. As the earliest bridge discovered in Xuzhou, the village where Yanqiao is located is still Yanying Village, which is in the same line as Yanjia Bridge. The legend of Yanjia Bridge provides an important basis for studying the rise and fall of the Yan family, and has a certain historical value; the legend of Yanjia Bridge plays an important role in punishing evil and promoting good, educating people, and building a harmonious society, and has a certain social value; the legend of Yanjia Bridge has a positive role in promoting tourism development and driving economic development.
