Guzheng Art
Guzheng Art, a traditional music project in the sixth batch of representative projects of Lianyungang's municipal intangible cultural heritage. Guqin, also known as Yaoqin, Yuqin, and Qixianqin, is the earliest stringed instrument in China. According to the "Historical Records", the appearance of qin was no later than the Yao and Shun period. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Confucius' era, qin became a compulsory instrument for literati. For thousands of years, qin has been closely related to the lives of literati. Its history is almost as long as that of Chinese civilization. There are more than three to four thousand years of history that can be verified in writing, and it is called the "father of Chinese music". In the hearts of ancient literati, it is regarded as a representative of elegance. The sound of the qin is far-reaching, the literature is vast, the connotation is rich, and the influence is far-reaching, which is cherished by the world. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the guqin was also introduced to East Asian countries, and was absorbed and inherited by the traditional culture of these countries. In modern times, it has spread all over the world with the footprints of Chinese people, becoming a symbol of Eastern culture in the minds of Westerners. Due to historical reasons and the persistence of people in the pursuit of interests in the material society, we have gradually become indifferent to the awareness of protecting, inheriting, and reproducing traditional culture. As a music educator, it is my duty to inherit and promote the art of Chinese music. There are many guqin techniques, more than a thousand in ancient times, but only dozens of fingerings are commonly used today, such as wiping, picking, hooking, picking, hitting, picking, splitting, supporting (i.e., "eight right hand techniques"), rolling, plucking, stabbing, pinching, locking, like one, rolling, brushing, double-playing, etc. for the right hand, and up, down, advancing, retreating, chanting, gibberish, burying, kneeling, picking up, bringing up, clawing up, bumping, pulling, full support, half support, stinky, intermittent hooking, turning fingers, and so on for the left hand. After more than 10 years of unremitting efforts, I have traveled all over the country, learned from masters everywhere, and after more than 10 years of painstaking study, I have achieved success, and my techniques have been standardized and improved. I am now engaged in the inheritance and promotion of guqin art, and have trained nearly 100 students. Through guqin learning, the understanding of traditional culture by guqin learners is enhanced, which in turn increases the popularity of traditional culture, and also promotes national music, so that the younger generation can understand and love the cultural traditions of their own nation, thereby achieving the social goal of music education.
