Enamel flower, formerly known as "Fenhua", also known as "Enamel Hua" or "Fahua", was popular in the Ming Dynasty. Common utensils include large bottles, jars, furnaces, and offerings in front of Buddha. Shanxi was once the main production area of enamel flower pottery. Historically, there are records of firing in Puzhou, Huozhou, Wenshui, Pingyao, Yangcheng, Jiexiu, Yuci, Taiyuan, Shuozhou, Daixian, Qingyuan, Linfen and other places. According to historical records, a kind of low-temperature colored glaze enamel flower pottery could be produced in southern Shanxi since the Yuan Dynasty. It was more popular in the Ming Dynasty, and the technique was lost in the middle and late Qing Dynasty. Enamel flower ware refers to a pottery body colored glaze ware with - (saltpeter) as a flux. From the perspective of shape, the main decorative method of enamel flower ware is "piling tendons and standing powder". The process is to use clay to pile out the outline of the pattern on the blank body, and after high-temperature firing, fill the outline with low-temperature glazes such as yellow, green, purple, and blue, and then glaze firing. The main types of vessels include plum bottles, Tianzhu bottles, ball bottles, appreciation bottles, and double-eared vases, etc., and the patterns are mostly dragons, phoenixes, and flowers. The products are dignified in shape, with smooth patterns, beautiful lines, accurate color filling, gorgeous and crystal enamel glaze, and the body can be seen through the glaze. The colors are mainly yellow, blue, purple, green, and white, and the body is hard and thick.
