Its earliest history can be traced back to around 1865, when it began to spread in the Wangkui area. Shadow tunes are all board-style variations, integrating the shadow tunes of Liaoning Xibianwai, Hebei Tangshan, Shanxi Laotan and other local shadow tunes to create a unique "Liangheshui" shadow tune. The shadow tunes are classified into different grids and words, which have both the melody style of Jiangnan and the characteristics of Jiangbei's fluent singing and strong expressiveness. The music is rich in Northeastern style, with high-pitched, bright, euphemistic, and melodious singing, and the true and false voices can be replaced freely. The basic shadow tunes are "Seven-Character Fu", "Three Items Seven", "Five-Character Tight", "Cross Tight", etc., with slow, fast, counting, overlapping and other changes. It mainly interprets historical stories and folk tales.
