Donglei Shangluogu only exists in Donglei Village, Fang Town, Heyang County. Donglei Village is adjacent to the Yellow River in the east, Zhonglei Village in the west, Taili Village across the ditch in the south, and Chayukou in Bailiang Town in the north. It is located at 35o13' north latitude and 110o21' east longitude. It was inhabited in the 17th year of Wei Wenhou in the Warring States Period (429 BC). It was named because the village is adjacent to the Yellow River in the east and the sound of the river is like thunder. Another saying is that Donglei Shangluogu was produced along with people's production and life, and because "lei" and "lei" are homophones, the village was named Donglei. Donglei Village is 29.5 kilometers away from Heyang County, with an area of 1.2 square kilometers and a population of 960. It was originally under the jurisdiction of Fuliu Township and was under the jurisdiction of Fang Town in 1997. The Shangluogu in Donglei Village is known as the "living fossil of my country's primitive dance." The historical origin of Donglei Shangluogu Donglei Shangluogu is a microcosm of ancient Chinese folk dance. As early as the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, Heyang was called "Shen State" (also known as Youshen State). The book "Mencius" records that "Yi Yin cultivated the fields of Youshen". In the "Lüshi Chunqiu", there is a record that Tang ordered Yi Yin to compose "Da Huo Music". The bell in "Da Huo Music" is the current cymbal or gong. In ancient my country, witchcraft and dance were connected. Gongs and drums had become a form of divination and sacrifice in ancient times. Shang gongs and drums still have traces of sacrifice, witchcraft and exorcism. It can be seen that the origin of Shang gongs and drums is long-standing. It can be said that it evolved from the ancient folk dance for sacrifice and exorcism. The basic content of Donglei Shangluogu is that the two sides usually compete against each other. Its performance is divided into the following processes: "Arrange the gongs", brewing emotions with a neat and slow rhythm and gathering accomplices; "Flowing water" is led by the small drum, the rhythm is accelerated, the variety is increased, and the opponent begins to challenge; "Shanggu" is played at its peak, the drummer squats in a horse stance, the gong beater steps on the ground with one foot and the drum with the other, shouting and taking turns to play the drums, and the cymbals are raised above the head, the rhythm is rapid, and the atmosphere is warm; "Windy", the gongs, drums and cymbals sound together, pushing the atmosphere to a climax; finally, the drums are chased, the torches are held high, the fire piles are blazing, and the fire guns are shaking the sky, forming a noisy and shocking spectacular scene. Shangluogu, as a folk art, has been broadcast on CCTV and Shaanxi TV, and has been reported in Shaanxi Daily, China Culture News, and Culture and Art News. It participated in the performance of the large-scale folk community fire dance poem "Huashan Soul" in Weinan City and won unanimous praise from the audience. The basic characteristics of Donglei Shangluogu Donglei Shangluogu has undergone a long period of evolution and formed a fixed performance form, which also shows the following basic characteristics: 1. The high-pitched and passionate masculine beauty. The Shangluogu uses a large cymbal weighing more than ten pounds and must be higher than the head, which has a strong expansion and penetration, making the Donglei gongs and drums high-pitched, passionate, and sonorous. 2. The harmonious beauty of both rigidity and softness. The Shangluogu performance is led by a small drum, forming a question-and-answer artistic effect that is very pleasant to the ear. Its "rowing gongs" and "flowing water" have unique drum beats, ups and downs, and are just right. 3. The beauty of simplicity in the craze. In the Shangluogu stage, the drum beats are simple and powerful. The gong holders take turns to play the drums between the drum beats, pushing the atmosphere to a craze. The main value of Donglei Shangluogu As a unique folk art wonder, the Shangluogu has the following main values: 1. Research value. The development and protection of Shangluogu have a certain reference role in the study of my country's dance history and folk history. 2. Ornamental value. Shangluogu is a folk performing art that combines dance and percussion. It can be performed in squares or on stages. Its sonorous, soul-stirring, inspiring appeal and masculine beauty are deeply loved by the masses. 3. Entertainment value. Shangluogu performances do not require strict venues, and the performance capacity is not limited by the number of people. It is a good form for the masses to entertain themselves. Doing a good job in protection and promotion will play a positive role in rallying people's hearts and invigorating the cultural life of the masses. The endangered status of Donglei Shangluogu 1. The performance team lacks successors. With the death of old artists, the decrease in the number of participants in the young generation, and the inability to straighten out the inheritance system, the performing arts cannot be fully inherited, resulting in a lack of successors for performing talents. 2. The quality of performance has seriously declined. Due to the impact of modern art, the transfer of young people's interests, and the fact that the main performing experts have been working outside for many years, Shangluogu performances have been forced to be unable to be organized. 3. Insufficient number of performance props. The main problems were that the drums, gongs and cymbals were insufficient in number and of varying quality, and the performance costumes were not unified, which seriously affected the performance effect.
