Shanggao Daoqing (the second batch of provincial level) Shanggao Daoqing is a folk art popular in Shanggao County, with a simple form, concise content and pleasant melody. According to legend, among the foreign refugees who settled in Shanggao in the early Ming Dynasty, there was a group of folk artists who carried bamboo tubes on their backs and beat and rapped with a certain rhythm. After these artists settled down, their rap art was continuously innovated, transformed and inherited by dozens of generations. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was blended with Ruizhou Daoqing, which finally formed a form of folk art that used the box erhu as the main instrument and played and sang by oneself. It can not only sing folk songs, but also rap long-form Shanggao Daoqing. The artistic characteristics of Shanggao Daoqing are: a combination of rap and rap, with singing as the main form, using dialects, and rhyming at the end of words. When speaking, rhymed lines or recitations are often used, usually in the first person, imitating the tone and voice of different characters. When singing, you can sing with speaking, count the boards and add accompaniment, which is vivid and popular among the masses. Shanggao Daoqing is similar to general Daoqing. It is called storytelling. At first, there was no musical accompaniment. It was just a prop made of bamboo tube, namely the fishing drum tube, to beat the rhythm and play all kinds of tricks. With the continuous improvement of storytelling skills, in order to express the joy, anger, sorrow and happiness of the characters, it evolved from telling to singing, thus becoming a storytelling art, that is, the current Daoqing. Because the fishing drum accompaniment was not charming enough and it was difficult to show the character's personality, it evolved to use wooden box piano instead of fishing drum for accompaniment, which gave rise to Daoqing music. From the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, Shanggao Daoqing not only changed in content, but also developed from single-person rap to multi-person chorus. Gongs, drums and cymbals were added as percussion instruments on the basis of box piano accompaniment, and the standing singing from village to village became door-to-door singing. It was not until the 1950s that the erhu replaced the banhu of the box piano, and suona, flute, sanxian and other instruments were added to the percussion instruments. The tunes have developed from the relatively simple "original board" to "sub-board" and "fast board". At the same time, local folk songs and local drama tunes were absorbed, and the "swinging tune" in opera, "crying board" and "swearing tune" in folk tunes were blended into Shanggao Daoqing, so that it can be innovative on the basis of maintaining its original characteristics, and can not only sing excellent traditional songs but also sing modern new songs to make Shanggao Daoqing more active and more popular than before. The singers of Shanggao Daoqing are all blind. In order to give full play to their singing skills, the party and the government, while caring about their lives, also care about and attach great importance to the work of quyi. For more than 50 years since its establishment, the Shanggao County Blind Quyi Troupe has been performing in cities and towns for publicity. The singing content is rich and colorful, the form is lively and lively, there are both humorous traditional Daoqing, and there are modern songs that publicize the party's principles and policies in various periods, which are deeply welcomed and loved by the masses.
