Shengjinggang Scenic Area has been rated as a national AA-level tourist attraction. Shengjinggang Dragon Temple was first built in the Yuan Dynasty, more than 600 years ago. It now covers an area of 15,000 square meters, with more than 100 halls and rooms and a construction area of more than 9,000 square meters. The temple is magnificent, large in scale, and rigorous in layout. It is a complete set of Taoist temples and is now a provincial key cultural relic protection unit. There is a holy well in the Jiulong Holy Mother Hall of the Dragon Temple. The water is cool and sweet, and it does not overflow in floods or dry up in droughts. In the old days, officials and people from several surrounding provinces came here to fetch water and pray for rain. The "Linggang Incense Market" has also become one of the ten ancient scenic spots in Handan. In recent years, the Handan County Government has increased its investment and management efforts, and has renovated and improved the temple to meet the standards of a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Philosophy related to the heritage

Shengjinggang, as a landscape that integrates nature and humanity, can be interpreted from different perspectives of Eastern philosophy and Western philosophy to show its unique philosophical implications. From the perspective of Eastern philosophy, Shengjinggang embodies the Taoist idea of "harmony between man and nature". Taoism believes that man and nature should coexist harmoniously, and the perfect integration of the natural scenery and cultural landscape of Shengjinggang is the embodiment of this idea. The magnificence of mountains and rivers, the tranquility of ancient wells, and the accumulation of human history together constitute a harmonious ecosystem, which allows people to feel the close connection with nature while enjoying the beautiful scenery and experience a spiritual satisfaction beyond material. In addition, the Confucian concept of "the benevolent enjoy mountains and the wise enjoy water" is also reflected in Shengjinggang. The stability of the mountains and the agility of the water symbolize the perfect combination of benevolence and wisdom, guiding people to pursue inner peace and wisdom. From the perspective of Western philosophy, Shengjinggang can be interpreted as a philosophical exploration of "beauty". Western philosophy, especially ancient Greek philosophy, has a profound influence on the pursuit and definition of beauty. The natural beauty of Shengjinggang can be regarded as a "form of beauty". It not only satisfies people's pursuit of visual beauty, but also inspires people's philosophical thinking about beauty. As Plato said, beauty is eternal and unchanging. The natural landscape of Shengjinggang, with its everlasting beauty, makes people feel a kind of eternal beauty beyond time. At the same time, the "natural law" theory in Western philosophy is also reflected in the harmonious coexistence of nature and humanity in Shengjinggang. It inspires people that the laws and rules of nature are the highest principles that human society should follow. In summary, whether from the "unity of man and nature" and "equal emphasis on benevolence and wisdom" in Eastern philosophy, or from the pursuit of "beauty" and the observance of "natural law" in Western philosophy, Shengjinggang has demonstrated its profound cultural heritage and philosophical value, and has become a bridge connecting nature and humanity, and Eastern and Western philosophical thinking.
