Philosophy related to the heritage

Zunhua Wanfo Garden, as a man-made Buddhist holy place, contains rich philosophical connotations. From the perspective of Eastern philosophy, this park symbolizes the idea of "harmony between man and nature". Traditional Chinese philosophy emphasizes the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. The Buddha statues and natural landscapes in Wanfo Garden are intertwined, reflecting the concept of "Tao follows nature". Here, the compassion of Buddhism and the inclusiveness of nature are integrated, reflecting the idea of "ruling by doing nothing", emphasizing the harmony with nature through inner enlightenment and peace. From the perspective of Western philosophy, Wanfo Garden can be regarded as the embodiment of human pursuit of "transcendence" and "eternity". Western philosophy, especially existentialism and mysticism, explores the relationship between man and divinity. In Wanfo Garden, the countless arrangements of Buddha statues seem to symbolize human beings' infinite reverence for the sacred, implying a deep reflection on the meaning of the universe. It also reflects the West's focus on "metaphysics", trying to approach a transcendental existence and truth through concrete sculpture forms. The difference between the two is that Eastern philosophy focuses more on harmony with nature and inner transcendence, while Western philosophy focuses on rational exploration of the essence of existence and transcendental meaning. As the intersection of these two philosophical thoughts, Wanfo Garden provides a space for multicultural dialogue.
