Yiwu Tangyang Making Technique "Tangyang" is the dialect of Yiwu. It is a kind of dessert made of polished rice and authentic Yiwu brown sugar. It is a traditional folk handicraft. Tangyang appeared along with the history of Yiwu brown sugar. Homemade Tangyang can only be eaten once in July every year. Main materials: polished rice, brown sugar. Specific operation process: soak polished rice for 3 hours, pick it up and rinse it with clean water, grind the wet rice into rice slurry with a stone mill, and the thickness of the rice slurry should be properly controlled. Then fry the authentic Yiwu brown sugar into syrup and pour it into the rice slurry bucket, stir it thoroughly and filter it through a sieve, spread the steaming cloth on the steamer, and then use a tung spoon to scoop the rice slurry into the steaming cloth, cover the pot, steam it on high heat for one hour, then remove the pot, pour the slurry in the steamer into the rice sieve or bamboo plate to cool and cut it into pieces.
