"Water and Fire Meteor" is a kind of acrobatics that has been popular in my country for a long time. It is an acrobatics program that embodies strength and beauty, speed and skills. The official name of "Water and Fire Meteor" is water bowl and fireball. Water bowls are played in the daytime and fireballs are danced in the night. It is a traditional juggling performance. The dancers use a long rope with ceramic bowls filled with water on both ends as dance props. Or charcoal or other flammable objects are placed on both ends to make an ideal fireball dance prop. Using the principle of throwing objects, water bowls and fireballs are danced to form silver halos or fire halos. Skilled people use the constantly swinging rope tied to the bowls as sticks to perform juggling performances such as shouldering, carrying, rolling and throwing sticks. According to legend, this kind of acrobatics has existed in ancient times, and Qin Shihuang once watched similar performances. Because it has high folk and aesthetic value and is on the verge of being lost, it has been included in the protection list of Cixi City's intangible cultural heritage. Water Meteor: Ten small copper bowls filled with water are tied to an iron ring. While slowly rotating the iron ring, the copper bowls are either turned sideways or lifted up. Finally, the iron ring lifts the copper bowls upright, but the copper bowls are completely watertight. Fire Meteor: The oil in the copper bowls is ignited, and the bowls dance and fly, rotating high and low. The flames are like rainbows, but the oil does not splash out. The fireballs are connected in a circle, which is amazing. The 10 small fireballs, plus the weight of the frame, weigh dozens of kilograms.
