The percussion instrument puppets that were spread in the Guoju area of Baifeng Town were inherited and spread by Yu Mingxiang and others, and later passed on to Sihuo and Huang Jinfu. Percussion instrument puppets are one of the traditional programs of temple fairs. Before liberation, there were wonderful performances of puppet percussion instrument bands at the annual temple fair in Guoju City. His grandfathers were old artists of puppet percussion instrument performances in the village. When he was a child, Ji Changde lived in a courtyard with his cousin Wu Yunmo, and witnessed the production and performance of percussion instrument puppets. The performance of percussion instrument puppets is based on the story of the seventh-rank sesame official: in order to understand the people's sentiments, the county magistrate took a group of yamen runners to the streets on the Lantern Festival to have fun with the people, watch lanterns, and visit the people. Behind the team were the popular Monkey King and the White Bone Demon, who performed the segment of the three fights with the White Bone Demon. In 2012, percussion instrument puppets were included in the fourth batch of district-level intangible cultural heritage list of Beilun District. In 2015, they were included in the representative list of intangible cultural heritage projects of Ningbo City.
