Fengcheng Hongzhou Kiln Wanniling Pottery Making Technique (the fourth provincial level) Fengcheng Hongzhou Kiln Wanniling "ancient pottery making" technique is a traditional handicraft with a long history of thousands of years. The handmade daily pottery in Wanniling Pixia Village has a wide variety, hard texture, beautiful shape, simple and mellow. It is a real replica and "living fossil" of the pottery making technology of Hongzhou Kiln, one of the "Six Famous Kilns in the Tang Dynasty". Its technical process is: taking soil, hand-crushing, mixing mud, kneading, rolling, coiling, reinforcing the tire wall, patting flowers, drying, glazing, and firing. The whole process takes one week from taking soil to the finished product. The main products are: jars, altars, basins, plates, cans, mortars, and roof ridge covers. It is mainly used to hold wine, water, rice, salt, tea, sauce and vinegar, and to pound various food display devices such as peppers and eggplants. Funeral objects are no longer fired as customs change.
