Ertang Township is located in the northeast of Jinxian County and enjoys the reputation of "the land of fish and rice in the south of the Yangtze River". "Changgong folk songs" originated in Ertang and are sung in all villages in Ertang. "Changgong folk songs" have a history of more than 2,000 years. It is the voice of the long-term workers to vent their grievances, accuse the landlords of exploitation and pursue a happy and equal life. "Changgong folk songs" have harmonious rhymes and beautiful melodies. Their singing tunes have the characteristics of folk songs and local tea-picking lantern operas. The lyrics are seven words per sentence, and they pay attention to rhyme. It is one of the song forms that the people love to hear and see. In 1983, "Changgong folk songs" were recommended by the county cultural center to represent Jinxian County in the folk culture gala in Fuzhou and won the first prize. On June 16, 2006, the CCTV "Millennium Ancient County" crew came to Jinxian County to shoot, and promoted Ertang's "Changgong folk songs" and "Splashing snake lanterns" as the characteristics of Jinxian's millennium ancient county to the whole country.
