Especially in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the society's requirements for women and the husband's family's standards for choosing a wife were all measured in four aspects: "morality, speech, appearance, and work", and "work" refers to women's work. Lianshui folk embroidery (Lianshui fabric art) is mainly distributed in many towns such as Hongyao, Liancheng, Zhuma, Gaogou, Dadong, and Tangji. The inheritance method is mostly from mother to daughter or from mother-in-law to daughter-in-law, and it is passed down orally and taught by heart.
