Zhu's Traditional Chinese Medicine Surgery is a traditional medicine project in the third batch of representative projects of Wuxi's municipal intangible cultural heritage. Zhu's Traditional Chinese Medicine Surgery originated in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. The famous medical clinic "Wumeitang" was opened in Wuxi. After eight generations of inheritance and development, the unique Zhu's Traditional Chinese Medicine Surgery and Chinese Medicine minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment technology has been established. Hundreds of good prescriptions and wonderful medicines have been created. They are good at diagnosing and treating surgical diseases such as carbuncle, furuncle, erysipelas, mastitis, herpes, laryngeal paralysis, diabetic foot, suppurative osteomyelitis, and water and fire burns; they are also good at treating rheumatic bone diseases and are well-known in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. The fifth-generation inheritor Zhu Zhusheng (1904-1976) is famous in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. He is good at treating carbuncle, furuncle, osteomyelitis, bone tuberculosis, lymph node tuberculosis and other diseases. He pioneered the small plaster around the meridian to treat surgical tumors and ulcers, and the Chinese medicine bone dissolution regeneration technique to treat suppurative osteomyelitis. He founded the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine Surgery of Nanchang Hospital, which became a learning base for members of the National Research Group on the Integration of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in the 1960s.
