Kangding Liuliu Diao
From Chengdu to Ya'an, through the Erlangshan Tunnel, which is "a thousand feet high", and across the Dadu River where the iron chain hangs across, there are high mountains, deep valleys, dense forests, fast currents, waterfalls, springs, and a variety of natural scenery, which makes people want to stop and enjoy the scenery of mountains and rivers. When the car passes through the layers of white clouds hanging on the green trees on the top of the mountain, along the mountain road, against the surging river, and into a plateau canyon city surrounded by three mountains, it arrives at Kangding, the administrative center of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Kangding was called Dajianlu in ancient times, which is the homonym of "Dazhedu" in Tibetan, meaning "the place where three mountains face each other and two rivers meet". From the map, the peaks of Yala Snow Mountain, Gongga Mountain and Zheduo Mountain are guarding the city; the Zheduo River rushing from the south of the city passes through the city, and merges with the Yala River flowing from the north of the city at the foot of Guoda Mountain to form the Kangding River, which flows eastward. Surrounded by these three mountains and two rivers, Kangding, a city of outstanding people, is inhabited by more than a dozen ethnic groups, mainly Tibetans, Han, Hui, Yi, Qiang, etc. If you listen to the tour guide's explanation, he will tell you another legend: When Zhuge Liang was on a western expedition to capture Meng Huo, the military situation was urgent, so he sent Guo Da here to build a furnace to make arrows and prepare weapons. Guo Da made 3,000 arrows in one night, and Zhuge Liang was very happy. He appointed Guo Da as a general under the curtain, so this place was named Dajianlu. There is also a mountain nearby named after Guo Da, and a temple was built to worship him. Although there are different opinions on the origin of the name of Dajianlu, they all show that Kangding has been an important geographical location since ancient times, and has therefore developed into the political and cultural center of the Kham region, an important market for the Han-Tibetan tea-horse trade, and the birthplace of Guozhuang culture and the hometown of famous love songs. I first knew about Kangding because of a widely sung love song. The beautiful mountains, the city, the clouds, the moon, and the eldest sister of the Li family and the eldest brother of the Zhang family have attracted countless people. Although they cannot go there, they yearn for it. Today, Kangding has been listed by the United Nations Tourism Organization as a "natural ecological tourism and Khamba cultural tourism destination promoted by China to the world". With its world-class tourism resources, it attracts thousands of tourists from home and abroad. The three world-renowned tenors Domingo, Carreras, and Pavarotti have also traveled thousands of miles to become honorary citizens of Kangding. On the way to Mugecuo, a famous scenic spot in Ganzi, the tour guide introduced Kangding's rich tourism resources and charming scenery along the way, such as the majestic Gongga Snow Mountain, the vast Tagong Grassland, and the famous Paomashan. Looking at the alpine azaleas all over the mountains and the saro that hangs down like green silk and is like a soft gauze on the pine branches, the fairy-tale-like scenery still makes several tourists feel unsatisfied. They suggest: "Sing a song, sing "Kangding Love Song." The tour guide girl, wearing Kangba Tibetan costumes and with two traces of plateau red on her face, said generously: "There are several ways to sing "Kangding Love Song". We like to sing the "Liuliu Tune", which is different from the way you people outside sing it." "Okay, let's sing the "Liuliu Tune." The lyrics and rhythm of "Liuliu Tune" are similar to those of "Kangding Love Song", but there are significant differences in some ornaments and endings, which show a more melodious and affectionate western charm. The tour guide girl's father is Han and her mother is Tibetan. She sang this song in a simple highland voice that is a combination of the two ethnic groups. It is pure and genuine, showing the original regional customs. It is really fresh, lively, free and humorous. It feels completely different from the "Kangding Love Song" that has been heard and sung thousands of times, without any singing flavor or artificial traces. Because this song was born and raised here, singing about the life of the local ethnic group and expressing their straightforward emotions. It is said that the Chinese song "Kangding Love Song", one of the top ten love songs in the world and selected as one of the 100 world folk songs by the United Nations, evolved from the ancient Liuliu Tune. There are many ways to sing Liuliu Tune. The Liuliu Tune, which originated from a Han village in Yala Township, Kangding, is the main melody of "Kangding Love Song". When the car passed Sandao Bridge, the tour guide raised his hand and pointed to a seemingly ordinary village on the hillside on the other side of the river and said that Liuliu Tune came from that place. The village opposite is very large, with more than a thousand households. The houses on the hillside and the river are connected together. It is a rare large Han village in Ganzi Prefecture. Across the river, looking at this peaceful and quiet village hanging in the middle of the mountain from afar, I really want to know when and from which family the Liuliu Tune that has swept the world and made people's hearts beat fast was first sung? Liuliu Tune, which has a history of hundreds of years, is an old song and a new song. At the beginning of the last century, scholars with new cultural ideas discovered this moving folk song while collecting folk songs in Kangding. They then changed the lyrics of the liuliu tune into "Kangding Love Song", which has been sung all over the country and the world since then. A few years ago, some fans were interested in who the author of "Kangding Love Song" was, and they offered a large reward to find him. However, history is like smoke, and the sea of people is vast. There are many different opinions, and it remains a mystery to this day. In fact, when you come to Kangding and walk into the various ethnic groups in Kangding, you will hear beautiful and fresh songs flying out of the crowd. If you like it, you can stop and listen to it without having to look for the author. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
