Liangping Tiaoerdiao is also known as Tiaogong Haozi. Because Tiaogong is commonly known as Tiaojiaoer, it is also known as Tiaojiaoerdiao. It is a traditional folk music form spread in Liangping County, Chongqing. It evolved from the local Tiaogong Haozi and has a history of at least hundreds of years. Liangping Tiaoerdiao was created by the people of Liangping during production labor and life customs. It was very common before 1980. Tiaogong was used to carry large components in water conservancy projects, bridges, etc., and there was Tiaoerdiao wherever there were Tiaogong. There were thousands of Tiaogong groups, and the sound of the haozi rose and fell. The scene was extremely spectacular and the momentum was extremely huge. Legend has it that the Jade Emperor in heaven did not know the joys and sorrows of the world. Once, Taibai Jinxing asked the Jade Emperor, what kind of people in the world are the most miserable and what kind of people are the happiest? The Jade Emperor smiled and replied: Of course, drinkers are the most miserable, and Tiaojiaoer is the happiest. Taibai Jinxing was puzzled, and the Jade Emperor said, "Don't you see that the drinkers frowned and were miserable, but the lifters, wearing straw sandals and bare arms, carrying heavy objects, still sang and danced with joy, aren't they happy?" This is the most appropriate description of the cheerful style of "Liangping lifter tune". In folk culture, whether it is building houses, repairing bridges and paving roads, people have to carry stones, carry sedan chairs for weddings, or carry coffins for funerals, all of which are indispensable for lifters or commonly known as "lifters". During these activities, lifters must sing the lifter's song, which has beautiful melody, high and bright rhythm, strict rhyme, simple, funny, humorous lyrics and rich content. Lifters express their inner emotions and release fatigue by singing the song, making their steps relaxed and coordinated, and their steps are unified. There are 2 lifters, 4 lifters, 6 lifters, 8 lifters, 16 lifters, 32 lifters, 48 lifters, 64 lifters and 128 lifters. The weight of the goods to be carried is determined by the number of people assigned. The average weight per person is 50-80 kg. The head and tail poles have a higher load-bearing capacity, generally 100-200 kg. A group of 128 people can lift about 5 tons of weight. The technical requirements for porters are very high. Lifting shoulders and starting are very particular. The head and tail poles, as leaders, must be strong and have stable poles to fully command all porters. The more people there are, the more thrilling the scene, the more exciting the performance, and the more the skills of the entire team are displayed. Groups with less than 6 people generally do not shout tunes, but groups with 8 people generally shout tunes; no matter how far the distance is, most of them will not repeat a certain tune. The more porters there are, the more they often have to sing and shout tunes, and the more powerful and beautiful the tunes they shout are.
