Changyucheng Mountain Bangzi Opera began in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty, and has a history of more than 300 years. At that time, there were many immigrants from Shanxi, Shaanxi and Hebei, and they also brought local folk songs, which gradually formed the unique high-pitched and passionate singing style of Changyucheng Mountain Bangzi Opera today. The profound cultural heritage, coupled with the traditional regional characteristics, has become the most significant characteristic charm of Changyucheng Mountain Bangzi Opera. Today, the Changyucheng Mountain Bangzi Opera Troupe has gone through more than a dozen troupe leaders, and the actors have more than a dozen generations of master-disciple relationships.
