Meili Snow Mountain is located in Deqin County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is located at the junction of Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet. It is the largest sacred mountain in the Kham region. It is known as one of the four sacred mountains of Tibetan Buddhism, along with Mount Kailash in Tibet, Mount Amnye Machen in Qinghai and Mount Gaduo Juewo in Qinghai. At the same time, Meili Snow Mountain is also a famous sacred mountain in the Tibetan area of my country. It is the main sacred mountain in the south of the four sacred mountains in Tibet, called "Rongzan Kawagebo". It is listed as one of the 24 sacred mountains of Kenie in the ancient Bon religion classics, so it is also called "Naiqin Kawagebo". Before this, in the primitive cultural period, when Bon religion had not yet originated and spread, there was already a custom of praising and worshipping sacred mountains. The custom of circumambulating the mountain (also known as circumambulating the sutra) emerged during the Bon religion culture period. After the rise of Tibetan Buddhism, the content of the circumambulation and worship activities was enriched and enriched. Meili Snow Mountain is the only peak that is prohibited from climbing due to cultural protection. Historically, there are three routes for circumambulating Mount Kawagebo, namely the big circumambulation, the middle circumambulation and the small circumambulation (i.e. the inner circumambulation, the outer circumambulation and the middle circumambulation). The three routes either go around the entire mountain, around the main peaks or in the front of the main peaks for worship. In December 2014, the "Meili Sacred Mountain Sacrifice" was announced by the State Council as a representative item of the national intangible cultural heritage.
