Beijing Silk Doll is a traditional folk art unique to Beijing. It is a national handicraft made of silk in human form with a history of more than one thousand years. Silk doll is a kind of artistic human figure. Folk cloth toys such as "needle-tying" and "color-tying" are closely related to it. It is based on the themes of ladies from past dynasties in Chinese folk tales, drama characters and folk dance shapes. Artists make lifelike three-dimensional human figures through more than a dozen processes such as sculpture, painting, clothing, props and headdresses. Its head, face and hands are all made of silk. It is made of high-quality silk and gauze from head to toe and from inside to outside, hence the name "Silk Doll".
