Eight Strange Things in Hanzhong
The first strange thing: the northwest and southwest are in one foot; Hanzhong is located in the northwest, but because of the barrier of the Qinling Mountains, its climate, precipitation, products and vegetation are the same as those in the southwest. Nowadays, there are many beautiful women coming out of Hanzhong, and now you can see girls who don’t need to be decorated in any place in Hanzhong. They are beautiful and extraordinary. The fifth wonder: everyone loves to eat Jiangshui vegetables; Jiangshui vegetables are a local snack unique to Hanzhong, made from fermented fresh leafy vegetables. It tastes slightly sour and exudes a fresh fragrance, and everyone loves to eat it and never gets tired of it, making it a unique specialty of Hanzhong. The sixth wonder: Noodle porridge is used to entertain guests; Hanzhong noodles are famous throughout the country and are made from rice. The seventh wonder: Lotus flowers bloom on trees in March; Hanzhong is located at the natural boundary between the subtropical and warm temperate climates, and is known as the "natural species gene bank". There are 643 species of wild vertebrates in the city. Among them, there are 335 species of birds, 137 species of mammals, 62 species of amphibians and reptiles, and 109 species of caterpillars. Among them, 12 species are listed as first-class national protected animals, and 62 species are second-class protected animals; there are 2,942 species of wild plants, and 72 species are listed as national and provincial key protected wild plants. The dry lotus is the only rare flower found in the world so far, and it has been identified as the city flower of Hanzhong City. This dry lotus tree grows in the Wuhou Temple in Mian County, Shaanxi Province, and is more than 400 years old. Every March, the flowers are in full bloom, and the trees are full of red and white. The white flowers are as white as jade, and the red flowers are as pink as silk. They sway in the wind, which makes people intoxicated. The ancient dry lotus and the famous prime minister Zhuge Liang are integrated into one, which is worth seeing. The eighth wonder: Pandas and crested ibises have traveled abroad; Foping County in Hanzhong City has a national-level panda protection base, and Yang County has the only artificial breeding base for crested ibises in my country. The crested ibises are known as "Oriental treasures" and "Oriental gems". Pandas and crested ibises have been sent to other countries and regions as diplomatic envoys by my country.
