The Diqing Tibetan Guozhuang dance is widely distributed in the Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan. According to the dance images in the Tibetan portrait stele of the Tang Dynasty unearthed from Shigu Jiaozi Village in Lijiang, it is speculated that the Guozhuang dance has a history of thousands of years. The Diqing Tibetan Guozhuang dance is most representative in Benzilan Town, Deqin County, and Zhantang Town and Xiaozhongxun Town in Shangri-La City. When entertaining guests, Benzilan uses Guozhuang songs and dances to perform a series of ritual procedures, including "blessing Guozhuang", "expelling guests Guozhuang", "praising Guozhuang", "meeting Guozhuang", "farewell Guozhuang", "retaining Guozhuang", "farewell Guozhuang", "praying Guozhuang" and other types, which are very rare in Tibetan areas across the country. Its tunes are divided into four parts: "Yao", "Zhuojin", "Xiazhuo" and "Zhuocao". Shangri-La Guozhuang is divided into two types: ancient and new. "Cha Ni" is the ancient Guozhuang, the lyrics and dance steps are relatively ancient, with a strong sacrificial nature, with special movements and lyrics, mostly loved by religious circles and the elderly; "Cha Si" is a new dance, which is a new song and dance compiled in different eras. The Diqing Tibetan Guozhuang has rich songs, dances and lyrics, and the lyrics are composed of three sentences. Whenever there is a festive occasion, a new house is completed, or a wedding, people of all ages gather together to dance all night to express celebration and blessing. The Diqing Tibetan Guozhuang contains rich Tibetan cultural connotations, with complete and diverse forms, distinct regional characteristics, strong ethnic style, and a deep mass base. It contains traditional humanistic spirits such as friendship and unity, and has high artistic and social value.
