Daqiang puppet show in Qingshui Township, Yong'an City is one of the most complete folk puppet shows in Fujian Province. Puppet show, formerly known as puppet, is a kind of drama that uses strings to support the body frame, with various facial shapes and costumes, and actors are pulled by strings to perform. The music of Daqiang puppet show is the initial vocal form of the combination of Yiyang Opera and Taoist Opera in the Ming Dynasty. It is simple and rough and belongs to the Gaoqiang system. This artistic form of combining Daqiang and puppet is extremely rare, and even fewer have been preserved to this day. It retains more than 30 traditional repertoires and 30 excerpts.
