Tianshui Silk Carpet Weaving Technique Innovation Workshop is based on Tianshui New Tiansi Carpet Co., Ltd. and has independent functions such as pattern design, process design experiments, sample trial production, training, and product display. The innovation workshop mainly aims at the current situation of lack of successors in Tianshui silk carpet skills, rescues, protects, inherits, and teaches Tianshui silk carpet theoretical knowledge and basic skills, cultivates high-level research talents and creative R&D practice talents, so as to improve the level of Tianshui silk carpet handicraft talent team. Tianshui silk carpet inherits the traditional "intangible cultural heritage" craftsmanship. Through the innovative design of some relief art tapestries by inheritors, the main patterns of the patterns are planted and left long, leaving layers and then carved by cutting flower technology, so that the tapestry pattern presents the artistic effect of relief. This technology is commonly known as "carving on soft gold". Its unique and novel posture provides a valuable aesthetic theoretical basis for the in-depth excavation and innovative research of traditional arts and crafts. The "intangible cultural heritage" products produced by Innovation Workshop have participated in many "intangible cultural heritage" exhibitions and performances, including the 4th China Intangible Cultural Heritage Traditional Skills Competition, the 2020 Gansu Province Arts and Crafts Exhibition, and the Revitalization of Chinese Traditional Crafts and Jointly Guarding Traditional "Intangible Cultural Heritage" Activities, and have won many awards.
