This technique uses ordinary silk, satin, and other ribbons to weave various animals, and can depict the bones, muscle structure, head and facial features of animals vividly and lifelike, such as dragons, tigers, snakes, cows, horses, camels, etc., which is called soft sculpture. In 2012, with the approval of the Changsha Municipal People's Government, the ribbon weaving technique was successfully applied for the third batch of municipal intangible cultural heritage list.
