The boat-shaped house of the Li nationality is a boat-shaped house built by the Li nationality compatriots to commemorate their ancestors who came across the sea. Its appearance is like a boat awning, arched, and framed with red and white rattan. The arched gable roof is covered with thick bamboo grass or sunflower leaves, which almost extends to the ground. From a distance, it looks like an upside-down boat. Its round arch shape is conducive to resisting the invasion of typhoons. The overhead structure has the functions of moisture-proof, anti-malaria and rain-proof. The thatched roof also has good moisture-proof and heat-insulating functions. Moreover, it can be made of local materials and is also convenient to dismantle and reconstruct. In view of these advantages, the boat-shaped house has been passed down from generation to generation. The boat-shaped house has two floors. The residents go up along the bamboo ladder. The upper floor is for living, and the lower floor is for raising livestock. It is generally divided into three rooms, with the middle room as the living room and the two sides as the living room. There are also two rooms, the front room is the living room and the back room is the living room. The construction technique of the Li boat-shaped house reflects the unique architectural style of the Li people.
