Shi's acupuncture has a long history. Since the third generation, Shi's acupuncture has developed from Shaoxing to Jiaxing. By the time of the fourth generation, Mr. Shi Henian, he opened the Shi's Acupuncture and Rheumatology Clinic at No. 42 Zhangjia Lane, Jiaxing. Since then, Shi's acupuncture and Shi's rheumatism wine have become famous in Jiahe and well-known to every household. After that, Shi Henian's son Shi Yanqing followed his father to help with the Shi's Acupuncture and Rheumatology Clinic, and studied Shi's acupuncture with his father's oral instructions. He inherited and gradually enriched and developed the specific content of Shi's acupuncture in clinical practice. In the early 1950s, Mr. Shi Yanqing, who came from a family of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, joined hands with well-known traditional Chinese medicine practitioners of the older generation in Jiaxing to establish the Jiaxing Renmin Road United Clinic, the first joint medical institution of traditional Chinese medicine in Jiaxing. The Acupuncture Clinic was the predecessor of the Acupuncture Department of Jiaxing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Shi Yanqing became a formal employee of Jiaxing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1959, Jiaxing United Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established, and the Acupuncture Department became one of the six major specialties of the hospital at that time. The acupuncture discipline of the hospital, represented by Shi Yanqing's more than 60 years of clinical experience in acupuncture, has formed the characteristics of "one needle, two moxibustion, and three medication, advocating the use of acupuncture, moxibustion, and medication together", enriching It also enriched the content of acupuncture as a traditional Chinese medical culture; in 1991, Chief Physician Shi Yanqing was identified as the first national instructor to inherit the academic experience of old Chinese medicine practitioners, and two students, Wang Shouchun and Shi Xiaowen, completed their apprenticeship after three years; in 1992, Shi Yanqing was awarded the title of Excellent Science and Technology Worker of Jiaxing City, and began to enjoy the special allowance of the State Council in the same year; in 2008, Jiaxing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital opened an acupuncture and massage ward, and the following year, explored the establishment of a stroke ward combining Chinese and Western medicine in the Department of Neurology and the Department of Acupuncture and Massage. As a traditional Chinese acupuncture culture and characteristic skills, Shi's acupuncture has embarked on the path of modernization combining Chinese and Western medicine.
