Pingju is one of the local operas in my country that has grown rapidly, spread widely and had a great influence in the past 100 years. It originated in Tangshan, Hebei Province, and is popular in Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, North China and Northeast China. The first troupe of Shijiazhuang Pingju Theater was originally a private troupe. On November 12, 1947, Shijiazhuang was liberated. A few days later, under the leadership of the Military Control Commission, the Yihe Pingju Society was reorganized and resumed performances. Since its establishment, it has performed in Hebei and surrounding provinces and cities all year round and has a broad mass base. Since its establishment, the first troupe of Shijiazhuang Pingju Theater has been widely accepted and inclusive. Several generations of leading actors have performed both Baipai opera and Xinpai opera; both traditional opera and modern opera; they have learned from Beijing and Tianjin, and also from the Northeast. The most important thing is that in the long-term artistic practice, the troupe has formed its own unique acting style, which emphasizes both civil and martial arts, and is good at singing, reciting, acting and fighting (dancing). Several generations of leading actors have inherited it, which is rare in the Pingju circle. There are dozens of plays that Shijiazhuang Pingju Theater has performed regularly, most of which have been recorded and videotaped. Representative plays include "Flowers as Matchmakers", "Yang Sanjie's Complaint", "Qin Xianglian", "Phoenix Falls to the Wutong Tree", "Dou E's Injustice", "Xibaipo", "Yuansao", etc. Several generations of leading actors have published special collections or excerpts, and some plays have been recorded on CDs. The movie "Xibaipo" has been submitted for review and will be released soon. Published books include "Collection of Essays on the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of the Liyuan Troupe", "Shang Lihua, a Famous Pingju Opera Artist with No Sect or School", "Yuan Shumei, the Thirteenth Plum of Yanzhao", and "A Brief Introduction to Opera". After the hard work of several generations of artists, a brand-new drama was created in Hebei, and it has gradually grown and become a wonderful flower in the garden of flowers in the motherland. Pingju Opera is close to the times and life, reflects reality, and conveys the voice of the people. It has the new meaning of punishing evil and promoting good, warning the world and educating people, and commenting on the past and the present. Pingju opera has beautiful tunes, is easy to sing and learn, and has quickly become popular among the masses. It is one of the indispensable art forms in people's lives and has irreplaceable social functions. Pingju opera, which has only a century of development history, has such a scale and influence, which has important academic value for our research on the history of drama development, local music and human history.
