Dacheng County is located in the east-central part of Hebei Province. It is known as an ancient county and was a famous city as early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Dongzangzhuang Village was built in the first year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, and has a history of more than 600 years. Because it was built along the Ziya River, it has convenient transportation and merchants from ancient times to the present. The village is very rich in cultural heritage, and many talented people such as literati and martial arts have emerged, which has created the excellent quality of hospitality of Dongzang villagers. Dongzangzhuang Music Association was founded in 1755. At that time, the village leader Li Qiao stayed in the home of a wandering monk named Qi for several months. The monk Qi taught the temple music that was popular in the northwest to the villagers, and it has been passed down for more than ten generations. Most of the music scores preserved in the village music association are different from those of other ancient music concerts. They have both elegant court music elements and popular folk tunes. There is a book of ancient music scores from the Republic of China, with 62 pieces of music copied. Different from other concerts, there are more than 20 pieces such as "Jinzi Street", "Quan Jinbei", "Wife Going to Husband's Tomb", "Four Seasons Goose", "Sunny Day Song", "Jinluo Suo", and "Luan Tan". Because the music scores of the old music club are recorded in the "gong and chi" method, and are limited by oral transmission and the death of old members in the concert in recent years, most of the music scores have been lost and cannot be passed on. Only more than 20 of the more than 60 music scores handed down can be played now. The main instruments of the concert are 10 shengs, 3 short pipes, one suona, one cloud gong, one clang, six pairs of big cymbals, one big gong, eight pairs of big cymbals, and one big drum. The Dongzangzhuang Music Club has a long history and is a treasure of national culture and art. Its repertoire is rich and comprehensive, and its music scores are complete. It is the music club with the most repertoires of ancient music concerts found in Dacheng County. The lyrics of the folk tunes corresponding to its ancient scores were also found, which has high artistic value for the study of ancient folk music. The existence of ancient music concerts has a certain role in cultivating people's sentiments, educating the public, and promoting a safe and peaceful atmosphere.
