Tonggu Baoyuan Making Technique (Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Project) Tonggu Baoyuan is a representative of the food culture of the Tonggu Hakka people. It is made of pollution-free, green and healthy taro and sweet potato flour from the depths of the mountains, with bacon and winter bamboo shoots as stuffing, and also with sesame and sugar as stuffing. It is shaped like dumplings without folds, and is as big as 45 dumplings. Tonggu Baoyuan is purely handmade, soft and smooth, crystal-clear, nutritionally balanced, and rich in taste. It is rich in trace elements, proteins, polysaccharides, etc. required by the human body, which can enhance human immunity and reduce cholesterol in the blood. In particular, sweet potato flour contains selenium, which cannot be synthesized by the human body to prevent cancer and radiation. It has its own unique characteristics in the Chinese food system. In 2001, it won the title of "Nanchang Famous Dessert" at the first Nanchang Food Cooking Competition, and in 2003, it won the title of "Chinese Famous Dessert" at the 13th China Chef Festival. Baoyuan means "wrapping a round and happy life". This is the Hakka people's yearning and blessing for a better life.
