Traditional production technology of Huai salt
Huai salt traditional production technology (expanded), a traditional skill project in the second batch of Lianyungang city-level representative expanded projects of intangible cultural heritage. It was spread in 29 salt fields in Huaibei and Huainan during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, and was changed to brick drying after the Ming Chenghua period. It was changed to beach drying after the fourth year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty. Regardless of brick pool drying or mud pool drying, the common technology remained basically unchanged. After liberation, the Huai salt production technology has been used in the eight major salt fields and county and township salt fields in the province. From the first year of Yuanzhen (1295) when the Guandu field was built to boil salt, to the third year of Chenghua in the Ming Dynasty (1467), the salt boiling was changed to brick pool drying, and continued until the third year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1877), it was changed to beach drying again, with a Bagua structure. After 1966, the old beach was rebuilt into a new port beach, and after 1974 it was changed to a fully enclosed type. The process of perennial crystallization of salt covered with plastic film lasted until the 21st century. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
