Munao Zongge, also known as "Zongge", means "gathering for singing and dancing". It is the most solemn traditional ethnic festival of the Jingpo people. Munao Zongge Festival is the grandest traditional festival of the Jingpo people. Tens of thousands of people dance to the same drum beat. It is a grand and powerful ethnic carnival in western China, known as "Dance of Heaven" and "Carnival Dance of Ten Thousand People". "Munao" is the Jingpo language, and "Zongge" is a direct translation of the Zai Wa language, which means everyone dances together. In the Jingpo settlements in Dehong Prefecture, the Munao Zongge Festival is held around the 15th day of the first lunar month every year, and every village and hamlet will hold Munao Zongge.
