Gaozhenzi Daoqing Gaozhenzi Village is located at the highest point of Liangdi, east of Gaozhenzihai in Huairen. Hundreds of years ago, the original name of the village was Zhenhaibao. There was an ancient temple in the village called "Longquan Temple", which was recorded in the "Huairen County Chronicles" as "built in the Tang Dynasty"; the Tang Dynasty was the time when Taoism was prevalent and the creation of Taoist songs flourished, which was the origin of the Taoist drama. It is impossible to trace when Taoist songs and Taoist songs were introduced to Gaozhenzi Village. But in the old days, the village was located on the side of the Xikou Ancient Road, which was the only way for Fanzhi, Yingxian, and Hunyuan to go west. There were many big carriages and horse inns in the village. The shopkeeper of a Sisheng store could speak Mongolian. This geographical environment created objective natural conditions for the introduction and accumulation of culture. The activities of the Taoist drama troupe in the village can be traced back to the Tongzhi period in the late Qing Dynasty, which can be traced back to its source and passed down by word of mouth. Since many Taoist operas contain contents about gods and the twenty-four filial piety stories, the gentry in the village believed that they could educate the people, so they advocated and funded the formation of Taoist opera troupes in the village, which made this local opera take root and develop in the village. There are more than 40 operas, among which the "old eight" operas that are often performed include "Beating the Sutra Hall", "Liu Quan Bringing Melons", "Eight Diagrams", "Lei Heng Knocking the Cangue", "Caozhuang Killing Dogs", "Li Da Opening a Store", "Wulongtai", and "Visiting the Garden".
