Hui wedding is a celebration held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of marriage. This ritual, like the 60th anniversary banquet, was formed between the mid-17th and mid-18th centuries. The ancestors of the Korean ethnic group called the cycle of "sixty years of marriage" formed by matching 10 heavenly stems with 12 earthly branches "Zhoujia" or "Huijia". In the minds of the ancestors of the Korean ethnic group, Zhoujia has become a special concept of time. It is not only a synonym for the 60th anniversary, but also contains the meaning of longevity and auspiciousness. Hui wedding is more grand than ordinary weddings. On this day, the old couple wear wedding dresses and accept the wedding banquet filled with delicacies from land and sea. The descendants of the two old people and the men, women, and children of the village come to bless and celebrate the birthday, which is very lively. The people who hold the Hui wedding must have been married for 60 years. In addition, they must meet two conditions: one is that they must be the original couple; the other is that all their children must be alive and there are no criminals serving sentences. Only those who meet the above conditions are eligible to hold a Hui wedding. In order to hold a Hui wedding ceremony, the couple must be loyal to love, healthy and long-lived, the family must be harmonious, the children must be healthy, and the law must be obeyed. Therefore, it can be said that the Hui wedding ceremony fully embodies the idea of "regulating the family" in the idea of "cultivating oneself, governing the country, and bringing peace to the world", and is an existing living specimen that fully embodies the Confucian concept of "regulating the family". The Hui wedding ceremony is one of the important life rituals unique to the Korean ethnic group. It is of great value in studying the characteristics of Korean folk culture.
