Garajonay National Park
Laurel forests cover about 70% of the park, which is located in the central part of La Gomera, in the Canary Islands. The presence of springs and numerous streams ensures a dense vegetation, similar to that of the Tertiary period, which has largely disappeared in southern Europe due to climate change.
Baiquan Mountain Scenic Area
Baiquan Mountain Natural Scenic Area is located between Yanqi Lake and Yougu Shentan in Yudao, Huairou County, 63 kilometers away from Beijing. The scenic area, with its special geographical environment, magnificent mountain structure, rich vegetation and mineral resources, constitutes a unique natural landscape. Hundreds of springs hidden in the mountains make the canyon streams continuous and connected. Famous scenic spots include "Tathagata Buddha Palm", "Liying Peak", "Optimus Prime", "Xiaohuang Mountain", "Taiji Valley", "Yinyang Fish Eye", "Feiyun Waterfall", "Holy Mother Pond" and so on. Baiquan Mountain is named after the legend of Baiquan Fairy. The scenic area is 7.5 kilometers deep. Hundreds of springs are hidden in the mountains, making the canyon streams continuous. Baiquan Mountain has four major characteristics: one beauty (mountain beauty), two wonders (peak wonders), three beauties (water beauty), and four uniqueness (valley uniqueness). Entering the scenic area, the beautiful mountains are like the south of the Yangtze River, and every step is a scene, which is intriguing. The strange cliffs and rocks have unique shapes, each with its own appearance and each with its own scenery, which makes people imagine endlessly. The "Flying Stone" stands in the air, and the "God Turtle Looking at the Moon", "Ten Thousand Years Stone Monkey", "Tathagata Buddha Palm", and "Sitting in Meditation and Listening to Sutras" are vivid. Legend has it that wherever the Baiquan Fairy's fingers pass, springs will form, making Baiquan Mountain full of springs and water everywhere, forming various landscapes such as springs, pools, waterfalls, streams, and rivers. Regardless of spring, summer, autumn, or winter, the clear springs of Baiquan Mountain gurgle and dingdong has a rhythm. The big waterfalls include Tianhe Waterfall, Luohan Waterfall, Huitian Waterfall, and Feitian Waterfall. The famous springs include Leyu Spring, Qinglong Spring, Zhiyu Spring, Shengmu Spring, Yuxian Spring, etc. There is a waterfall hanging on the top of the cliff at the back of the scenic area, with a drop of more than 60 meters, just like Guanyin Bodhisattva holding a clean bottle and sprinkling sweet rain, so it is named "Guanyin Waterfall". This waterfall flows continuously in spring, summer, and autumn, and forms huge icicles in winter, which is spectacular. There are countless kiwifruit trees in the stunning kiwi valley, forming a beautiful green valley at the end of Baiquan Mountain, like a large green net covering the valley. There are also countless hawthorns, wild pears, hazelnuts, sour dates, and mulberries, which are really rare.
Qishi Valley Scenic Area
The Strange Stone Valley is named after the strange stones. The entire scenic area is composed of strange stones as its skeleton, forests as its veins, and mountain springs as its soul, forming an exquisite landscape painting, which can be said to be a wonderful scenic spot in Yanshan. The scenic area is 30 li in radius and 5 li in depth. The 13 li stone steps connect more than 50 scenic spots into a line. The Strange Stone Valley is located 10 kilometers southeast of Xinglong County, Hebei Province. It is the "Houlong Fengshui Forbidden Land" of the Eastern Qing Tombs. It is adjacent to Liuliping, overlooking the Qing Tombs, and facing Wuling Mountain and the Observatory. It is more than 100 kilometers away from Beijing, Tianjin, Tangcheng, and has smooth transportation. The scenic area within a radius of 30 li has dangerous peaks and strange rocks, secluded valleys, clear air, deep forests and beautiful waters. It is a wonderful scenic spot in Yanshan.
Limutai Scenic Area
Limutai Scenic Area is a national geological park, a national forest park, and a national 4A-level tourist attraction, affiliated to Tianjin Limutai Tourism Co., Ltd. There are lush mountains and more than 80 main peaks in the scenic area, and the main peak, Limutai Mountain, is 997 meters above sea level. Here, the peaks and valleys are majestic and dangerous, the vast forests are beautiful and secluded, the pools and waterfalls flow, and the vines climb and entwine. It is called "Tianjin Shennongjia" and "Northern Tropical Rainforest" by experts and scholars. There are Archean rocks formed about 2.6-3.5 billion years ago, which naturally formed geological wonders such as Qianceng Rock Painting Ridge, Dengtian Crack, Wuzhi Mountain, and Wanjuan Tianshu. The Northern Qi Great Wall built more than 1,400 years ago is also preserved here, winding and magnificent. Walking into Limutai, the lively streams, the swaying green trees, the fresh air, and the magnificent rock paintings, everything makes people daydream. The legendary Limutai, a landscape painting outside the world, welcomes you!
Shentangyu Natural Scenic Area
Shentangyu is located in a unique position in Huairou, and its scenery is also very unique. Mountain spring water runs through the whole area. The water of Longtan, Crocodile Pond and Mandarin Duck Pond is clear and fish jump. The peaks on both sides are lush and majestic. The Bodhisattva Hat, Eagle Ridge and Turtle Stone are all supernatural works. The ancient Great Wall still has its majesty. The thousand-meter beach is white and delicate. Yanqi River runs through the whole area, with pure water and continuous flow. The naturally formed Longtan, Mandarin Duck Pond and Eyu Pond are wide and clear. Shentangyu Natural Scenic Area has steep peaks and natural rocks. The Bodhisattva Hat is peculiar in shape and towering into the clouds, which is fascinating. Eagle Beak Peak, Camel Ridge, Turtle Stone, Phoenix Terrace, Stone Group and other supernatural works are vivid and interesting. In Shentangyu Natural Scenic Area, the magnificent ancient Great Wall winds along the east side of Yanqi River, with the steep buckwheat ridge at an altitude of 590 meters. It is like a giant dragon leaping over Yanqi River and continuing to climb the cliffs to the west. This section of the Great Wall was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. It is connected to Gubeikou and Simatai in the east, and Qilianguan, Mutianyu and Badaling in the west. There are more than 30 beacon towers in the territory, with a total length of 8,127 meters. The highest beacon tower is called "Wangjing Tower". Standing on the top of the tower at night, you can enjoy the night view of Beijing. This section of the ancient Great Wall in Shentangyu Scenic Area has not been restored. It has both traces of wind and rain erosion and bullet marks left by the beacon era. Although this ancient Great Wall has experienced vicissitudes, its majesty still exists, providing an ideal place for people to seek seclusion and imitate the ancient times.
