Caves and Ice Age Art in the Swabian Jura
Modern humans first arrived in Europe during the last Ice Age, 43,000 years ago. One of the areas they settled was the Swabian Jura in southern Germany. Six caves excavated since the 1860s have yielded objects dating back between 43,000 and 33,000 years. These include animal figurines (including cave lions, mammoths, horses and bovines), musical instruments and personal ornaments. Other figurines depict creatures that are half-human, half-animal, and one female statue. These archaeological sites display some of the oldest figurative art in the world, helping to illuminate the origins of human artistic development.
Laurisilva of Madeira
The Madeira Laurel Forest is an outstanding remnant of a formerly widespread laurel forest. It is the largest laurel forest in existence and is believed to be 90% original forest. It hosts a unique suite of flora and fauna, including many endemic species, such as the Madeira Long-toed Pigeon.
Langfang Natural Park
There are two fountains in front of the park, and children's play areas are set up on both sides of the main road, equipped with bumper cars, karts, forest drifting, pirate ships and other recreational facilities. In the middle of the park is an artificial lake covering an area of 100 acres. With the artificial lake as the center, a new cultural stele forest is built on the earthen hill in the west of the lake. There is an animal viewing area in the north. On the east side of the lake, there are 8 white marble elephant sculptures of different sizes on the lawn, which are lifelike. There is a rock garden in the northeast, and a "Beijing Style" club with the layout of a Qing Dynasty quadrangle is built on the south side. It is luxurious, elegant and antique. The park has also opened up many memorial forests such as the Youth Forest, the Women's Forest, the Bayi Forest, the Parent-Child Forest, the Public Servant Forest, and the Citizen Forest. The natural park attracts visitors from all directions with its wild and charming landscape, and has become a good place for people to relax and cultivate their sentiments on holidays.
Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park
Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park is located at 39 degrees 52 minutes north latitude and 119 degrees 32 minutes east longitude. It is located in the world-famous tourist resort Beidaihe Scenic Area, facing the vast Bohai Bay to the east, the famous Beidaihe scenic spot Pigeon Nest to the south, the Jingshan Railway to the west, and the Asian Games Village to the north. It is a must-go place for Qinhuangdao's north-south tourist route. Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park was built in 1995. It is the second largest wildlife park in my country after Shenzhen Wildlife Park. It is affiliated to the Qinhuangdao Forestry Bureau and is located in the world-famous Beidaihe Scenic Area. It is located in the Seaside National Forest Park surrounded by green trees, golden sands and blue seas. It covers an area of more than 5,000 acres. It is currently the wildlife park with the largest planned area, the highest forest coverage rate and the most beautiful environment in my country's cities. It is a large-scale comprehensive wildlife theme park integrating animal viewing, entertainment and leisure, popular science propaganda, animal research and animal protection.
Beijing Wildlife Park
Beijing Wildlife Park is located in Yufa Town, Daxing District, Beijing. Due to its unique geographical location, it is also affectionately called "Beijing Daxing Wildlife Park" by netizens. The park raises more than 300 species and more than 5,000 rare wild animals from all over the world. It is a veritable wildlife park in the forest with trees, green grass, spring flowers and autumn fruits.
