China Danxia

Chinese Danxia is the Chinese name for the continental red terrigenous sedimentary landscapes that have been shaped by internal forces, including uplift, and external forces, including weathering and erosion. Listed Danxia landforms include six areas in subtropical southwestern China. These areas feature spectacular red cliffs and a range of erosional landforms, including dramatic natural columns, towers, gullies, valleys and waterfalls. These rugged landscapes help preserve subtropical broadleaf evergreen forests and are home to many plant and animal species, about 400 of which are considered rare or endangered.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

The park, formerly known as Uluru (Ayers Rock - Mount Olgas) National Park, features spectacular geological formations that dominate the vast red sandy plains of central Australia. Uluru is a huge monolith and Kata Tjuta is a rock dome located west of Uluru that formed part of the traditional belief system of one of the oldest human societies in the world. The traditional owners of Uluru-Kata Tjuta are the Anangu Aboriginal people.

Tangshan Earthquake Memorial

Tangshan Earthquake Memorial is located in the Memorial Square south of Xinhua Road in the city center (between Jianshe Road and Wenhua Road). The square is 320 meters long from east to west and 170 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of 5.44 hectares. The Earthquake Memorial is located in the east of the square; the Earthquake Memorial Hall is located in the west. The two main buildings are located on the same east-west axis. There is a large pool between the monument and the memorial hall, and the two buildings are connected by a red tiled floor.
