Tabriz Historic Bazaar Complex
Tabriz has been a place of cultural exchange since ancient times, and its historical bazaar complex was one of the most important commercial centers on the Silk Road. The Tabriz Historical Bazaar complex consists of a series of interconnected, covered brick structures, buildings, and enclosed spaces used for different functions. Tabriz and its bazaar were already prosperous and famous in the 13th century, when this town in the East Azerbaijan Province became the capital of the Safavid Kingdom. The city lost its status as capital in the 16th century, but it remained an important commercial center until the end of the 18th century as the Ottoman Empire expanded its power. It is one of the most complete examples of Iran's traditional commercial and cultural system.
Historic Centre of Kraków
The historic centre of Kraków, Poland's former capital, lies at the foot of the Royal Wawel Castle. This 13th-century merchant town features Europe's largest market square and numerous historic houses, palaces and churches with ornate interiors. The remains of 14th-century fortifications and the medieval ruins of Kazimierz (with an ancient synagogue in the south of town), the Jagiellonian University and the Gothic cathedral where Polish kings are buried further testify to the town's fascinating history.

Qianmen Street has a long history. As far back as the Yuan Dynasty, the avenue leading to the suburbs outside Lizheng Gate (now Qianmen) was its predecessor. In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, due to the development of commerce, markets and streets such as Fresh Fish Market, Pig (Pearl) Market, Coal Market, and Grain Store appeared on both sides of Qianmen Street, and Qianmen Street became a commercial street. The long history of Qianmen Street has created many Chinese time-honored brands here, such as Dabei Photo Studio, Laozhengxing Restaurant, Shengxifu Hat Shop, Liubiju Soy Sauce Factory, Tongrentang Pharmacy, Ruifuxiang Silk Shop, Changchuntang Pharmacy, Nei Liansheng Shoe Shop, Zhang Yiyuan Tea House, Yueshengzhai’s Sauce Meat Shop, Duyichu’s Shaomai Shop, and 16 other time-honored brands, which are located on both sides of Qianmen Street.
Provins, Town of Medieval Fairs
The medieval fortified town of Provins is located in the old domain of the Counts of Champagne. It witnessed the early development of international trade fairs and the wool industry. The urban structure of Provins was built specifically to host fairs and related activities and is well preserved.
