Nanyin, praised by American composer Hudson as "great music", is "the Jin Dynasty's clothing and etiquette migrated south, and the stringed instruments were spread to Fujian. It absorbed the elite of the ancient music of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, retained the clear sound of colorful clothes and feathered clothes, collected the pearls and jade of the Song and Yuan Dynasty Jiaofang, and inherited the legacy of Kunshan and Yiyang". Nanyin is also known as "Nanyue", "Nanqu", "Nanguan" and "Xianguan". Nanyin has a long history and is known as "a living fossil in the history of Chinese music" and "the root of Chinese folk music". Nanyin was originally court music. Because of its elegant and gentle tunes, the singing is in the Middle Ages, and the Minnan dialect retains a lot of pronunciation habits of the Middle Ages, it is loved by the Minnan people and has entered the folk from the court. Tongan, located in the Golden Triangle of Southern Fujian, is still popular with Nanyin, and there are dozens of Nanyin performance groups scattered in the urban and rural areas of Tongan. In May 1995, Tongan Bingzhou children's Nanyin actors went to Beijing to perform, which won good reviews and was cordially received by the central leaders.
